Tally · AMC and support
What an AMC with us covers, and what it does not.
A contract for our engineers' time. Below: what it covers, and what it does not.
Who you call
AMC · us

- Upgrades, tested on a copy
- Users, GST, configuration

- Bought from
- UsTSS is bought from Tally
- Covers
- Engineers' time
- Priced
- Per setupNot published, and the reason is given
- Without a contract
- Per visit, per job
What is covered
- Priority. AMC customers are answered first, ahead of per-visit work.
- Installation and reinstallation, including moving Tally to a new machine when the old one is replaced or fails.
- Licence administration. Activating, surrendering and reactivating, which is the thing that goes wrong at the worst possible moment when a server is rebuilt.
- Company data care. Backup configuration, verification that the backup actually restores, and data repair where a file has been damaged.
- Upgrades to new TallyPrime releases, including checking your customisations against the release on a copy before your live company moves.
- Configuration. Company setup, users and access rights, godowns, cost centres, voucher types. The things set up once and then changed when the business changes.
- Statutory configuration. GST rates and formats set correctly against your items and ledgers when the rules change.
- User questions. The daily "how do I" from the people doing the entry, which is most of the volume and the part that actually keeps books clean.
- Training for new staff on your own company data, not on a demo file.
What is not covered
- Your Tally licence and your TSS. Both are bought from Tally. An AMC with us does not include them and does not replace them.
- Hardware, operating systems and networks. If the server has failed, the disk is full or the network is dropping, that is your IT support's job. We will tell you what we can see from Tally's side.
- New customisation. Changing an existing add-on we wrote is one thing; a new module or a new report iscustomisation work and it is quoted separately.
- New integrations. Connecting Tally to another system isa project, not maintenance.
- Data entry. We fix the system and train the people. We do not keep your books.
- Third-party software, including add-ons somebody else wrote.
We would rather you read that list before signing than discover it in March.
A customer on the support
We at Dasmesh Pump Store are very satisfied by product & services provided by Frontier Softech. Their expert team & staff never let us down during emergency & training. We highly recommend Frontier Softech for their prompt services.
Quoted exactly as it was given to us. There is no response-time figure anywhere on this page, because we do not publish one. A number in a contract that is met most of the time is worth less than a customer of many years saying what actually happened.
Questions
Do I need an AMC if my TSS is active?
They cover different things, so an active TSS does not remove the need for support. TSS is Tally's subscription for connected services and upgrades; an AMC is our contract for engineers' time on installation, configuration, data care and training.
Plenty of businesses run without an AMC and call us per visit instead. That is a real option, and it is the right one when your setup is small and stable.
What does a Tally AMC cost?
Quoted per setup, because the work depends on how many machines and users you have, whether you run customisations, and whether the data sits on one PC or a server. There is no list price on this page for that reason.
Tell us how many people use Tally, how many machines, and whether anything has been customised, and you get a figure.
Can I buy support without an AMC?
Yes. We work per visit or per job for businesses that would rather pay when something happens than hold a contract.
The difference is mostly the priority of your call and the predictability of your cost. If Tally being down for a day would stop your billing, the contract is worth having. If it would be an annoyance, it may not be.
Talk to us
Call +91 161 5044 180 and tell us how many machines and users you have, and whether anything has been customised. We will tell you what a contract would cover for you, what it would leave out, and whether you are better off calling us when something happens.
Tell us what breaks at month-end.
One call, your real books, no slide deck. You leave knowing what to fix first.
